'Biruni, the Quill of the Invaders' is a film about the life of the Perso-Muslim scholar Abū Rayḥan al-Bīrūnī, who lived in Central Asia at the turn of the first millennium of the Christian Era. The film which was shot in Uzbekistan, Iran and Pakistan tells also the story of two Europeans discovering different people and cultures.
The directors, Noemie Verdon and Vladimir Loncar, will introduce the screening with a short presentation. After the screening, the floor will be open for discussion.
