The material discussed in this presentation was collected during fieldwork in the years 1995 and 1996 with Prof. Komal Kothari, the well-known folklorist of Rajasthan. (The project was financially supported by the German Research Foundation). An edition of Kabir songs with textual analysis is under preparation.
