Student Representatives

Dear students!

After such a long time, there is finally a team again that supports your interests!

The Student Council for Languages and Cultures of South Asia and Tibet (StV) is part of the Austrian Student Union (ÖH). We are your direct representation at the Institute for Languages and Cultures of South Asia and Tibet (ISTB). We are also your first point of contact for questions, problems and complaints. We are looking forward to accompanying you on your way through your studies.

Who are we?

We are all students at the ISTB and are in our Bachelor's or Master's programme. Fortunately, we have a team that has already gained experience in all three areas of our institute, South Asian, Tibetan and Buddhist Studies. In addition, we try to create a space where we can discuss issues, hold discussions, organise events and provide support. Our experience over the past few years has shown us that studying involves many challenges and hurdles. That's why we exist as student representatives. We want to accompany you on your journey and lend you a sympathetic ear. It is important to us that you always have a contact person and a team behind you that looks after your interests. As soon as university life resumes, we will introduce consultation hours in the StV room several times a week, so that you can also come and see us in person.
