The Association for Tibetan and Buddhist Studies at the University of Vienna, founded in 1977, publishes the book series Vienna Studies in Tibetology and Buddhism (Wiener Studien zur Tibetologie und Buddhismuskunde, WSTB) with 104 monographs and volumes of collected essays to date.

The Association for Tibetan and Buddhist Studies (ATBS)
The Association for Tibetan and Buddhist Studies (ATBS) was founded in 1977 by members and friends of the former Department of Tibetan and Buddhist Studies (ITB) of the University of Vienna. It serves the promotion and dissemination of research results and pursues exclusively and directly non-profit aims. These are promoted by the organisation of lectures and workshops as well as by the publication of the series Vienna Studies in Tibetology and Buddhism (Wiener Studien zur Tibetologie und Buddhismuskunde).
This series publishes in particular monographs originating from the Tibetan and Buddhist Studies side of the Department. To strengthen its focal points of research, studies from the international scholarly community are published as well.
