Tagore's First Visit to German

This lecture will treat in detail Rabindranath Tagore’s first visit to Germany in 1921 and throw light on the effect his message had on exponents of the German-speaking intellectual world. The intellectual climate of the period between the two World Wars that formed the context for Tagore's impact will also be discussed.
